Larisa Sherer
Graduate of the Ural Conservatory named after M.P. Mussorgsky, a diploma-recipient of all-Russian and international competitions Larisa Georgievna Sherer is actively involved in concert and performing activities and has extensive experience as an accompanist in the choral conducting class (since 1991 she has been working at the department of choral conducting of the UGC named after M.P. Mussorgsky). An important area of Scherer’s creative activity is the creation of transcriptions for two pianos of masterpieces of vocal and symphonic music, which are most in demand in the educational process of the conducting and choral department. Thus, she is the author of transcriptions of the following works: “Three Russian Songs” by S.V. Rachmaninov, “John of Damascus” by S.I. Taneyeva (together with I. Stefanovskaya), “Spring” by S.V. Rachmaninov, “Drought” by F. Poulenc (methodological manual).
